I have many (never too many) old style Bessey K-Body clamps. Last year a Rockler was going out of business so I picked up a 4 pack of Bessey Revo clamps. So far I avoid them because it is much more difficult to move the head along the bar compared to the old K-Body or even the Jorgies I have, Is there a trick or break-in time for these?

Thanks

Yeah I know what you mean.

Pivot the handle away from the bar to move it up ir down, and towards the bar to lock and screw.

I liked the old freerer mechanism, but some people complained about the head not staying put when held vertically so we all suffer

Remove the black pad. It rubs on the bar and keeps the head from the sliding well. Or remove it and trim the opening that wraps around the bar a bit.

Yes. I have found this to be an issue. Also, it certainly doesn't hurt to apply some paste wax to the bar.
