I have 4 teak chairs that need to be stripped.  A previous owner painted them black.

Woodcraft is running a sale on Soy-gel this month and was thinking of giving it a try.  I've used both Citristrip and the really harsh chemical stuff on previous projects but didn't like either so i'm interested to hear what others have found success with.

I have used Soy-gel and it was ok. I was expecting the same dramatic results as I got with the solvent based strippers I have used in the past. You do have to leave it on longer and apply it thicker than "harsh chemical stuff" so horizontal surfaces work quicker, but it does work. You will still have to sand.
I really like  Franmar's (maker of Soy-gel) Kleen-Again brush and gun cleaner. It's a very good product for cleaning both brushes and spray guns and lines.

We have a product in the UK called Nitromors.
It's effective but you do need to use the correct PPE (Gloves and safety goggles/glasses) and work in a well ventilated area.
