I've been ordering from bob marino since he was in jersey. Super fast, super nice and a great guy to deal with.

I just realized that Tools for Working Wood is in a warehouse literally two blocks from my shop in Brooklyn.  I'm heading there this afternoon!

You've just got to check out their hammers while you're there, too!

I've used a ToolNut, Bob Marino, and Hartville - everything was shipped quickly, packaged well, etc.  Surprisingly, I have had quite a few problems with buying Festool on Amazon - I have received 3 used tools with bumps/bruises and missing items.  I also would not buy abrasives from them, because I got a couple of opened/previously returned boxes that were missing a few sheets.  Amazon did process refunds extremely quickly, but the only reason I ever order from them is convenience, so I no longer buy anything Festool through them.

I missed this thread thinking that it was the thread about best place to buy around the London area.

I have NEVER been disappointed when I have purchased from Bob Marino.  I refuse to order online and always call him to place an order so that I can glean info from him.

I recently ordered a CMT blade from Tom Bellamare at Tool Home and got great service also.

One thing I would like to ask anybody who ever has a less than positive experience with a dealer - let them know before you switch over to another dealer.  In any transaction there are many steps and hiccups happen.  Many dealers are always trying to improve their customers' experiences and value their customers.  If they know about the bumps and bruises they can work on customer satisfaction both for you and also for others in the future.  In my mind that is only fair.

Peter

Did just that recently.

+1 For Tom

Just finished bothering Tom about some Festool router bits. For my VS600 dovetail jig  [cool].    Fast responses with my emails.  On a Saturday morning !  Poor guy probably didn't even finish

his first cup of coffee.  [tongue]

Almost feel like if I needed something Tom is willing to fly to Germany to get if for me.  [big grin]  [wink]

Thanks for the great service you provide me and the rest of us Tom!

I called Tom one time and he answered even though he was on his roof doing some home repairs. Another time I called he was driving some tools out to a customer.

I called Bob up once at 7PM west coast time on a Sat nite (10PM EST) He called me back.

Ya cant pay for this kind of service
