Even if you buy through Amazon, they ship direct, so delivery is ups or Fedex, and if you have amazon bonus points, you can use those, which is rare on Festool.

Agreed, I have bought from both. US Tool had the first available TS75, when the pandemic had those in effectively a "sold out" situation, nation-wide.
Hartville is just beyond what you would call local, but they are fairly close. I get lots of stuff from them.
I do support my local stores too though, especially for long rails.

In general, prices are the same everywhere.  However, if you live in a lower sales tax county as I do, you can save a few bucks by ordering on line.  Also, buying from a dealer with free shipping is a good idea.  I’ve had good service from Hartville Hardware in terms of both elements above.
