Best Undermount Kitchen Drawer Slides?

I've never used a RAS pullout. I've always made my own. After reading the responses in this thread I'll have too look into the various brands mentioned.

I know this is off topic (somewhat) but has anyone heard about about a dehumidifying pantry? I live in a place where humidity is high, and things that you might keep in your pantry get soggy quickly after opening. To avoid this, we put such things in the refrigerator, where the humidity level is controlled. So I'm thinking, is there a way to keep a cabinet dehumidified but not refrigerated?

The first kitchen cabinet I need to build has one side exposed and the other is next to the refrigerator.  I plan to build the box with a 28" opening x 27 1/2" depth.

I think the Blum 569A6100B bottom mounted 24" soft close slides for three drawers should give them the storage space needed for groceries until I get some of the other cabinets built.

Since they have a day care center there I need to stage the remodel accordingly.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I bought the Blum undercount slides and they are pretty nice.  I was wondering if anybody has had problems with the Blum Tandem 569 Tilt adjustment plastic lift tabs?  One of the plastic adjustment tabs is broken and I understand it is not a replaceable part?

Are you talking about the tab at front to adjust the height?
If so you just need to replace the front locking device
It's pretty cheap.
I think you have to buy the pair
But I never had one break on me
If you talking about something else then give us more detail

On the very back of the slide there is a tilt adjustment.  It is a dual metal surrounded by a plastic ring with a tab on it.  This adjustment tilts the drawer top forward (or lifts the slides on either side).

The picture below is the tab which is plastic surrounding metal.  The plastic split when I tried to adjust the tab and the supplier says that Blum doesn't have a replacement part so, they are going to send me a new slide.  I think that is a pretty expensive cost for them over a few cent part.

OK
I never had any breakage on that
It's better to replace the whole slide
I don't think that part is easy to replace

I unwrapped a set of Blum undermount guides this morning to install a rollout shelf in a closet.  The small plastic adjuster in the back had broken off, just as described.  This is the first Blum undermount guide i have had to replace in over 17 years.  It looks like the way the guides were packaged as a pair put all of the weight of one guide against the plastic tab and sheared it off.

I spoke with my Blum supplier and they have asked Blum about this plastic part and they were told that Blum was working on a solution but, they acknowledge that there was a problem and sent me a replacement slide the same day I notified them.  I still like these slides and I hope that Blum will come up with a solution or a replacement plastic tab.

There may have been a problem with a manufacturing lot but my guess is it is a shipping/handling issue at the distribution end.  I sell over ten thousand tandem slides per year and have never had a complaint about the tabs breaking off. Blum has a lifetime warranty on hardware and does a really good job of making sure you won't need to make use of it.  However, the tandems in particular are not designed for a cross country trip with UPS.  We USED to UPS some tandems on occasion, but UPS found a way to knock the delran bearings off far too regularly.

I don't think I would assign blame to UPS since the package arrived "dent free" and the order was quite well packaged.  The plastic surround over the metal action is pretty thin in cross section around the metal.  I have only experienced one failure in the first 3 sets of slides I installed but, the supplier indicated that they have had issues with that plastic tab and they they have communicated with Blum about it and that Blum was working on this issue.  My supplier did send me a replacement immediately which saved my schedule and these slides are very nice and I will be using them again. I think that Blum is a quality manufacturer and that their designs are great and if they do the continuous improvement as I expect they will, I would not expect any future issues.

I had the same exact thing happen again two days ago with another brand new pair of slides.  If the guides are shipped nested in each other, front to back, and the adjustment tab is turned to a not-so-sweet spot, then it's almost inevitable that the adjuster will get sheared off.  It looks to me like it is 100% a shipping problem.  I'm pretty relieved to hear that Blum is aware of the problem and on the case.

Incidentally, I ordered these guides to repair a Rev-A-Shelf trash pullout that came with a Servo-drive unit.  It belongs to my in-law's neighbor, so we were visiting this weekend and I offered to fix it.  I have never installed one of these units and it turns out that it had botton-mount guides, so I could not do the swap.  The installed guides still worked great, but the soft-close pistons had failed.  I was able to slide the pistons out of the new (broken) guides and make the swap without removing the installed guides.  I've never seen the soft-close mechanism fail before, but as I said, I've never installed a Servo-Drive system before.  I kind of expect it to fail again.  If it does, I will take the time to document it and get Blum to take care of warranty replacements.
