Everyone who has the coupon should consider making your pending purchase before the upcoming price increase, or see the value of your pre-paid discount evaporate, by whatever amount the price increase adds to your invoice.

As for those of you that have not yet received your sander, or voucher, you are out of luck unless Festool comes up with a way to offset your loss.

Not true. Anyone who has not received their sander/voucher can purchase any power tool now. Once they receive their sander, the voucher can be redeemed. It's valid for any purchase between 11/1/16 and 12/31/17.

Thats great to hear. I was under the impression that I had to have the pro 5 dated before another tool could be purchased. I have been told I will get my pro 5 in mid April so being able to purchase before the price increase and then send the rebate in after the pro 5 showes up will work great. Thanks.

Thanks for clearing that up Shane.....Still important to remind people that they need to purchase the new tool before the price increase, in order to receive full value of their discount off the current purchase price.

Has anyone received the rebate check after purchasing another tool? Sent mine in about 4 weeks ago. I assume its a 4-6 week wait?

[member=64438]bigduke6[/member]  [welcome] to the FOG! I know some folks have received their checks. I emailed Tyler C about something else and asked about my check, I sent the info in online Jan 30 and have not received the check yet, he said he would investigate, but it was typically about 6 weeks.

I submitted my rebate around the end of February and have not yet received it.

Usually it takes 6 to 8 weeks.

Although I did not purchase the PRO5 Sander (I was in the middle of buying my jigsaw at the time), if I had, I think I would use the voucher for the new Festool radio.  I have two batteries that came with my C18 drill that don't get enough use, and would be perfect for powering the new radio.

Because I am getting ready to pre-order the radio, that $50.00 voucher would have come in handy right about now!

Can the voucher be used for the workcenter or is it "tools" only?

I recall a post stating the MFT has a serial number and qualifies for the rebate.  One would be wiser to purchase the sander and MFT together to get the 10% package discount.

Ditto on the thanks! This promo worked to hook me on the brand and I haven't been waiting to get tools.

While not intuitive, the WCR is actually a tool by Festool's definition.

There is both a TR and SR number for the WCR? Because that's what you need for the redeeming the voucher.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] is the CMS router table also considered a tool?

[member=1501]Samo[/member], yes.

Things that are tools...

- It has a cord - with the exception of battery chargers
- It has a battery
- It runs off compressed air
- It has a serial number
- MFT / CMS
- WCR / MFH
- SysLite / SysRock
- Vac-Sys

I think that covers it.

Thanks Shane,

Did you know that The Tool Nut is out of shirts?  [poke]
