Quit trying to make a ballerina into a football player, and go buy a Hilti TE-30AVR. Or rent one when you occasionally need some grunt. Mine's 17 years old now, it's been absolutely tortured - but it still works as well as the day I bought it. My local Hilti rep told me that in my application, a service life of 20 years plus is normal - he said that he'd be disappointed if it needed major overhaul any time before year #25.
And it has a set of 5 different chisels. Horses for courses.
