BHC peeps with first pull of trigger

Well I dropped mine off tonight. Big thanks to Phil for speedy PM, he is on holiday as well. What's the chances that I'll need it tomorrow, will have to dig out the old Makita. Now where did I put it again [huh].

Well I got my drill back today and it is working fine. Thanks uk festool! Especially phil. Really missed it, it's just too easy to use, a real joy. I'm assuming that mine wasn't the only one with this problem. Has anyone else sent theirs off yet?

Mine was collected today along with my broken ehl65 and my original tsc55 which was replaced a couple of weeks ago as it had the battery indicator fault. I just wish that festool batteries had built in indicators like my hilti ones. The tools wouldn't then need to have gauges built in - those that do that is. It's a real nuisance that the jigsaw doesn't have any indicator.

Well the BHC arrived home this evening and it would appear to have been fixed. Not sure what they have done - probably just disconnected the bit that goes beep  [big grin]

Got some paperwork in the post today which would indicate that the electronics module Part Number 10011986 have been replaced. That part would appear to comprise all the electrical parts contained in the drill with the exception of the motor and led light, i.e. the connection to the battery, the trigger and the associated wiring and circuitry.

You all got me thinking, so I just went out and pulled the trigger on mine. No beep....WHEW! [thumbs up]

Glad, because I would have to ship mine to Germany for warranty repair. USA doesn't have the BHC yet, so no service on the unit.

Cheers,

Frank [smile]
