I seem to have a blocked hose on my midi. Can someone tell me how I unclipped the hose so as I can
put something in to try to unblock it..

Just twist and pull up on the elbow piece that's connected to the vac. To unblock the hose I run water through it. No need  to to take off the fittings.

I assume you are trying to disconnect the L shaped fitting at the end of the hose.

I don't unclip my end fitting. I drop a 3/8" by 3' steel rod into the hose and let it drop through until it comes to the L shaped fitting.

The rod dislodges any obstruction and I can fish out the obstructing object past the L with needle nose pliers.

I then flip the hose and let the rod drop out.

I blocked a hose right it the middle a little while back and could not for the life of me unblock it. Ended up cutting it down and usin it as a short hose for my mitresaw.

I've also heard a broom stick recommended for snaking the hose, after you've gotten it unclipped of course.

I clean out my extractor hoses with my electricians wall-fishing poles as they are super thin and flexible. I just did that on Friday.

  Great idea... [thumbs up]

I've never really had a blocked hose, but I never use less than 36mm for cleanup, also I always remove my hoses from the vac and put the suction end into the vac inlet so I'm pulling from the other end when I'm finished.

Agree with [member=25351]rst[/member]. Whenever I have had a blockage, usually when using it on the OF2200, I just reverse the hose and it clears itself (eventually).
