Bloggers' Visit to Festool HQ 2017

Hey [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member] , will new pads be available for the RO, ETS & ETS EC lines?

Does a hard pad remain "hard" when the thin interface pad is added?

A car has just smashed into a power and landline pole 20 yards from our house. We are the only people still with power and phone line. I may be a bit slow responding to posts once they send the repair guys in to clean up the mess.

Peter

I hope that no one was seriously hurt as the result of knocking down the pole.....

No the guy had just a few scratches but the power has been on and off and we lose the internet when the power goes. I also lost my last 10 minutes of video editing, got a corrupt back-up file and am still re-building.

Cheers,

I do not have a list of the attendees and for some I only know their first names. Whilst I wait for the list to be sent I thought that I would mention Paul Sprague from Toolpig...

Find him as @toolpig on Instagram (whatever that is !).

Peter - you know that if you would drive on the right (correct) side of the road these accidents wouldn't happen! I have drove over there a few times and always struggled making turns as always wanted to go to the American side! ;)

The driver was lucky to walk away from that.

That driver was on the "American" side of the road just before he crashed  [wink]

Hi
.....and at the top of a small Swabian Alp was this beauty  [scared]

Darn Phil that is a really steep slope!  [big grin]

Maybe this image will show how it would look on level ground.

That's just a truck - what about a bit of woodwork - maybe a challenge to some of the critics out there to see how good they really are...

[attachimg=1]

The picture shows Frank Jaksch, a great guy, who is a Festool teacher and demonstrator based in Germany. He made the Goldberg Polyhedron thingy on a Precisio. It consists, like a football, of hexagons and pentagons all of the right size and cut at the right angles. I might try and make something like this one day (when I have nothing better to do than make firewood).

Maybe we should have a FOG competition to see what others can do?

... is it an Opel - No !

... is it a Mercedes - No otherwise Lewis would be at the wheel !

  ... VW - nope

... BMW - it could be a Rolls Royce but the colour looks wrong

Okay what is it then?

Peter

Love this thread, amazing content - please keep it coming Peter & Phil. :)

By the way, the truck is a Dodge Ram. :)

Kind regards,

Okay Phil, what about bringing the naughty pictures in early?

I have got one of that stripped down Domino, oh, and another one of you juggling.

What do you think?

Peter

Definitely a Dodge...that's what people buy when they can't afford a Ford.  I've put 250,000+ miles on four vans over the last 37 years, fifth one has 233,000.  I had one two vans ago that I put two sets of tires, two exhaust systems and that was it for 255,000 miles.  When I upgraded I could run my finger in the exhaust pipe and not need to wash.

....if this comes to the UK I would hate the fuel bill - it would be huge for here  [eek]

Phil

When I get my social media and IT wrong I usually find a 12 year old to sort it out. You just get Peter H.

Do we do the caption competition now or maybe that is risky ?

Please watch what you say FOGgers !
