Love this thread, amazing content - please keep it coming Peter & Phil. :)

By the way, the truck is a Dodge Ram. :)

Kind regards,
Oliver

Okay Phil, what about bringing the naughty pictures in early?

I have got one of that stripped down Domino, oh, and another one of you juggling.

What do you think?

Peter

......I will save the rest of mine for later  [wink]

Oh dear...I might go and hide for a bit unless it is the Rotex sanding session.

Have we shared the 101 things you can do with the Cross Stop yet?

Here you go Phil.  Beautiful Dodge Ram emblem!

Regarding what you are doing wrong - who the heck knows exactly when it comes to the forum software and images.  But it could be file size and / or that these images were shot portrait (tall) versus landscape (wide) and the software thinks that everything should re rotated to landscape when it is resizing images.

Both the images I posted have been resized down from the original 4.3 million pixels to less than 700,000.  Of course it might be that I use a Mac.  [big grin]

....caught my footwear nicely though in the image  [wink]

Phil,

If you look at the image you will see that Festool has managed to achieve their goal.  They have cloned you!  There are four of you there.

That truck almost certainly has a Cummins diesel engine it.  Not bad on fuel and it has obscene amounts of torque.  It would probably be able to pull the Festool factory if you could figure a way to harness it.

Good thing you had your pants on!

Are there any Russians looking at this thread ???

I have lost my note with the name of this Russian blogger. He has to be quite well known as he had the most amazing kit.

When Phil and I arrived at the dinner on the first evening this chap rushed (he was Russian) straight over to us and shook our hands. I was then dragged off for a picture.

There were a couple of other Russians there too and they were also very nice people.

I have also been trying to find out about Mikhail Kuchuk but I just get ballet dancers on Google. Does anyone know him ?

[attachimg=1]

He too had a very impressive array of video kit and was blogging live at many points throughout the visit.

Peter - what a marvelous travelogue to share your experience. The effort you put into this experience in this video and FOG post is sincerely appreciated. It demonstrates how farflung FESTOOL is reaching and how woodworking creates friendships across all sorts of borders.
Having grown up in Stuttgart  made this a special treat for me.

Hi Hans,

The Stuttgart area is super with lovely countryside all around. The traffic is pretty bad at times though.
