Hi Guys,

Its time to get a new Miter saw and stand, and I have narrowed the stand down to two…... I figure I will be getting the best fence (fence) no matter what, but can't seem to settle on a stand. Both the Bosch and Best Fence pro seem to have redeeming qualities. I am hoping to get some opinions that might help me make this decision. Thanks in advance.

Relavent info...I am a deck and fence builder/remodeler. I have a long wheel base Sprinter, so space in the vehicle is not an issue. The saw will live in my van. I plan to get the 1016 makita 10in saw(can't justify Kapex for my kind of work).  I have been working with a 12 dewalt, and a very heavy cheap stand….can not wait to upgrade.

Thanks,

I have a Bosch gravity table saw stand, it works similar the miter saw stand. I also have a Dewalt  DWX726 miter saw stand. Both stands work fine after they are setup, but I much prefer the Dewalt stand when it comes to setup & taking down. The Bosh stand has to be stood up on end before setting up & has to be tilted back up on end to fold up. When taking the Bosch down, it wants to drop, so I have to be sure to hold on tight to it. The Dewalt stand is laid flat on the floor. To raise it, pull a lever & lift up. To take down, lift slightly, pull the lever & lower it down. Then lift one end to move it. It can be stored on end. There are some  good videos on You Tube showing how both stands work.  I did add a piece of plywood to the top of  the Dewalt stand. I have a Kapex & and 2 Dewalt miter saws. I can quickly mount & unmount any of the saws.
