Anyone tried the new Senco fusion. (I know its too expensive for Sean here but just wondered?)

Had a look at one in Point P the other day seemed a bit bulky to me and as they wanted 700 odd sovs  [scared] for it I quickly exited the building.

Yes, similar price here ... I expect a lot in terms of service and support when I pay a high price ... Nothing makes me feel Senco can justify their price point at the moment?

A couple of workmates have the Bostitch 16g. Quite a nice gun, a little lighter than my old Paslode and quieter as the fan only runs for a few seconds. Might be worth looking at the Hitachi too, looks pretty much identical.

From my experience reliability issues with gas nailers are pretty much down to poor maintenance or faulty gas, just because the can isn't empty doesn't mean it isn't at fault, especially when using non Paslode gas.

No hitachi is crap!  The batteries are rubbish and keep breaking.   My mate has the hitachi it's a ugly looking gun any way but  hes had to send his batteries off many of times and still they keep breaking don't last 5mins.  He regrets buying the gun he tells me.

I'm goin too try find a dealer this week up my way too get a feel for them. I do like the look of the senco fusion gun but Im a bit skeptical about how it works. Don't fancy replacing the canisters all the time if it turns out there junk. Would just be more maintenance like my friggin paslodes

The light blue/grey one? Batteries look identical to the Bostitch ones. In fact most of the gun looks the same, just a few cosmetic changes.

Yeah thats the exact one he has!   I get annoyed to which way the battery needs to go in  it only fits one way of course but when you first look at it you cant tell which way it goes and every time I use his gun its 50/50 with me if I have got the battery the correct way round!  No big deal really and im sure if you own the gun youll know which way it goes.  Its just me cus I have only used it 3 times over a a few months.

A simple X with a marker on the top of it would cure that problem immediately. Doncha think?

........ umm  lol  little bit funny.  I dont own the hitachi one so not my problem (if I did im pretty sure it would be in a skip)

and like I said if you own and use the hitachi im pretty sure you will learn to know which way the battery goes in  and if you dont then maybe something like marking the battery which way it goes would have to be the solution.

anyone seen used the new bosch gun?
http://www.tooled-up.com/ManProduct.asp?PID=186757

i have the dewalt 16ga and airguns

Yeah I have seen it!  My Local dealer has one   it feels heavier than the Bostich and paslode but didnt feel as heavy as the dewalt I think but was hard to tell I think it is almost as heavy as the dewalt.   Like Dewalt it has no gas.    Its pretty much like the dewalt in features and what it does but I never used one so dont know its power or anything.    I know the dewalt fires 63mm nails in easily sinks them right in I would assume the bosch will do the same.

If you do punch out work or Tile work where you need to nail up some base shoe it is money in the bank.

I have the DeWalt 18 ga, It is a great tool.  the weight is irrelevant when compared to the "handiness" of the tool - provided the battery is compatible to the rest of your cordless stable.  I am betting the bosch would be equally handy for any one using the bosch 18Vsystem.

What i would like to see is for Makita to supply batteries to Senco for their Fusion guns or even for  Fein Multimasters in the US market.  Mak would dominate the US market with those tools added to their stable.

Im fed up with my paslode IM65A, sent it in for a service and its £87 + the Vat!!!

Im seriously looking at these bostitch nailers, the Bostitch GFN1564K 15-Guage Cordless Angled FN Finish Nailer.

I just cant decide wether to sell my paslode and get it   [unsure] what if it turns out to be as crap as the paslode  [mad]

A guy I work with bought the straight bostitch 16ga and its been back about 3 times already. I spoke to him the other day and he told me that there's something you have to watch with the gas. He was supplied hitachi gas and I think there was something on the gas lid that you had to remove to use with the bostitch but leave on for a Hitachi. Anyway I reckon that's what was causing all his problems. The bostitch guns feel really good quality I have air powered ones and never had any trouble.

Just spotted that the one you've posted about is 15ga the dewalt, Hitachi. Paslodes are all 16ga that's the more popular size over here.
