Hi Everyone

Osmo UK have been following a series of videos of mine about the building of a pedestal desk (I have not put any links on the FOG yet but will put them all on when the final video is complete). Osmo contacted me and asked me to try their brand new Osmo PolyX Gloss. So...

I did some tests which all looked great and have now used it on the desk. The results are superb. My best description is that the desk now looks as though it has been French polished but then had several years of tender loving care with plenty of wax polish and elbow grease.

Take a look:

I am not sure whether PolyX Gloss has reached NA yet but do not confuse it with normal PolyX.

Normal PolyX is my finish of choice for contemporary furniture (modern look) but the new PolyX Gloss is for the cabinet maker - it is a cut above the rest.

The desk that features in the video above is now finished - a great friend of mine came around this evening and put the leather top on for me. Now that I have seen it done I am an instant expert and would not hesitate to do one on my own.

I will be posting something in the Members' Project area in due course but for now here is a picture near the end of the leather fixing. The great look is down to that nice Mr Osmo ( although it does seem to have a lot of glue on it).
