Hi, I just got my new ts55 req plunge saw and setting it up on the guide rail. I noticed that the blade is hitting the rubber splinter guard about  half the width of the stock blade on a 90°position. Same on 45°. I checked the way the rubber guard was adhered and it seemed normal.to me. I also checked how the blade is attached and seemed normal too. I.didnt find any calibration instruction for blade spacing in my manual so I assume that its ready to use. Is that just natural? Should I just go for it or will I mess up my  rubber guard?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new saw. Yes, it's normal for the blade to cut the splinter guard on the first pass.
