For the last couple of months the plastic switch on my old Rotex 150 E sander comes off about 1 in 10 times that I use it.  Here is photo that illustrates the problem:

I cant see anything wrong with the plastic piece.  Perhaps it has just warn.  Will a replacement solve the problem?  Or, should I just glue it on?

Frank,

I would worry about gluing it on having an effect on the future ability to service it.  Call up Festool service while they're still there (before 5pm Eastern).

also would suck if the glue stuck the switch and so you couldnt move the switch again lol!! So if you do glue it make sure you glue it in the ON postition atleat then you can still use it just unplugg it every time lol

Well, it's too now late for a service call until Monday.  In any case, I would like a response here so that we can record the problem and the solution in the FOG database.

I never did get a response to this problem.  So, eventually, I stuck the green platic switch back on using contact cement.  This solution seems to have worked.

Why haven't you simply replaced it? The spare part is no 446002 and costs around 2.50 euro here. It clips on from the outside so you don't even need to open the casing.
