i couldnt find a reference elsewhere to this so here goes

drills with belt hooks are now so vital to my way of working that the festool only gets an outing when im fitting kitchens

the festool hook thing is an aftermarket afterthought

a light would be a bonus

edit, ive just spotted a reference to the light below

Hi,

How about built in but removable for those who don't want them?

Seth

semenza, thats the way to go with this wish item, its the set up of drills like Makitas and Panasonics

the hooks are movable for left and right handed users, that makes the hooks removable as well

I have the Makita LXT impact driver and drill, and am very fond of the low-profile, but very useful belt hooks. I guess that what I like BEST about the Makita LXT impact driver is how short the body is. Since it is so short, I can easily fit it in my tool belt like a holster, either in my right hand tool bag or in my rear "junk drawer" pouch. Few other impact drivers on the market are that compact. I am also a HUGE fan of the little LED lights on the drill and impact driver. At first a lot of my coworkers though they were just a gimmick, but they have proven to be invaluable in some of the dark corners you find yourself in when remodeling, for instance working up in an attic, a dark crawl space, or even working in an unlit closet. So, I too would love to see an LED light and a low-profile, removable belt hook included in a new Festool drill, and I'm still keeping my fingers crossed they will release an impact driver someday!!

Here is my tool-belt, by the way:http://www.bestbelt.com/product/belt-free/8098_beltless.html

I was a big skeptic of the little leds on the Makita.  I bought the Makita for its small size and power.  Now I am a total convert on the lights - they rock!  I was on the floor trying to run out the nuts that held the apron on the washing machine and I could barely see the darned things.  The Makita lit them up like the table in an operating room.  They would be a great addition to Festool products, including the Domino.

tom gensmer's link to his belt has worried me. i had to customise mine to fit

on a bad day im carrying 22lb on my belt, lift a sheet of mdf as well and it adds 75% to my body weight

id better explain 34inch waist and 156lbs AFTER christmas

anyway back to belt hooks and lights on festool drills
