Great work as always Kreg ... [not worthy]

Hi Kreg,
If you wouldn't mind, roughly what range of prices do you charge for your various great built ins. Curious because I'd like a number that would help me justify my Fe$tool purchase$!   [embarassed] [tongue] [wink]

Thanks, Dick

this was a $5 gran job,  i usually charge from $2500 and up  and festool tools save me about a day in time so I can do these faster easier and smarter ! plus since i do so many i have this gig down pretty well to where i know all the tricks etc... i can usually knock them out in 3-5 days for a double set of built with a helper for 5-6 hours a day he helps  and that includes painting, which I know use refinished maple for base cabinets for insides, therefore saves time from painting and people love it, then preprime all the pieces sand them then assemble them

and I usually use basic measurement  like base cabinet are 45"  round up or down  therefore when you have to cut bottoms to fit inside  then you deduct 1 7/16"  and you cut bottom at 43 9/16"  so if cabs are 55 then bottom is 53 9/16"  it makes it easier, and then top and face frame you make fit space

so good luck buy the tools , market yourself and get u done  i fill a nitch market  and my prices are reasonable I am not high end like some cabinet shops with high overhead, as I do most on site and people are very happy. and I keep booked up 4-6 weeks in advance all from my webiste. and I give them the price on the first appointment and usually get a deposit and book job 75% of the time and the other 15 % call back later and 10 % think I was to expensive !  go figure.

anyway i do pretty good

Thanks Kreg. Should have explained that I'm just a hobbyist and needed to justify the expenditure$ to myself (and my wife!).

Regards, Dick

Nice job, kreg. Looks like you are getting to be a pretty fair country painter! If I lived closer, I'd spare you that agony!  [scared]

dick no need to justify to you wife just buy her a pair of shoes and tell her to leave you alone !!!!  lol
