Recently got Festool Domino 500 and need to buy cutters and tenons. Thinking to get a whole package (cutters, tenons and systainer) and separately. What id you do, guys? Thoughts?

If you anticipate that you will only primarily use one or two sizes (like the 5 mm and the 6 mm), then buy your stuff separately.  If your woodworking is varied and you also use stock thicker than 3/4" on a regular basis, then buy the package.

I strongly suggest to get the whole package, you may not use them all as frequently, but that one time you will need that special size you will be sitting there with a 800 dollar machine being useless. Getting all the cutters is a must with the DF500, i now make my own dominos so i could have not bought the assortment, but it's very convenient to have when you start, and convenient to store the ones you made yourself.

I would do the whole package.  While I mostly use 1 size it sure is nice having all of the sizes when I need them.  The domino is so easy to set up for different sizes.

Get the set. I use the 5mm and 6mm dominoes more than the others, but it's convenient to have the full complement when you want larger sizes, or the 4mm tenons. At the very least the systainer is the ideal way to store the tenons.

I initally bought the set in a sustainer. That way I would have all of them. Use the ones I need frequently and have the rest on hand when I need them. I can replace the ones I use the most when I need to.
Plus I got the extra cutters as a bonus
