Looking to down size and would like some help on choosing a new table saw. Had a 3 hp Delta Unisaw with 52 inch fence. Like the Sawstop 1.75 foot print. Will I miss the extra fence? Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. I have been making cuts with my  TS 55 and really like the control. There are so many saws out there and was wanting to know what u guys r using.

Thanks

The Sawstop 1.75 PCS is available with a 36" or 52" fence, so it looks like you have an option to not reduce your fence size at all.

What was the problem with the unisaw. That's a great t.s.  I just sold my 5hp unisaw and bought powermatic pm2000. Love the powermatic but I sure miss that old reliable unisaw.

Nothing wrong with the unisaw. I just wanted a smaller footprint, an riving knife and better dust collection.

Every cast iron top tablesaw made has basically the exact same footprint.  Unisaw's have a smaller footprint than most contractor-style saws....

I can understand wanting a riving knife though.

Your right. Looks like basically the same foot print. I use the table saw for ripping, miters, dados and tenons. Using the domino now.
