Hi everyone I am new here and this is my first post. I just purchased a few Festools and I want to get one of the routers next. I think I am leaning towards the OF1010 as I make guitars and I would mainly use it for plunging for the cavities and precise inlay work. I have a rigid router that I will use in my table for the 1/2" bits.
I want to make a extended base plate for my inlay work and I am getting some 1/2" acrylic templates made and I would like to have a cad file of the OF1010 and the OF1400 base plates so I can locate the screw holes for the base plate as I am also going to locate the holes for my rigid.
I am really excited about my purchase of a MFT3,TS55,PSB300EQ,ETS125EQ and a CT36E. I also got with the deal FS1080 and FS1400 tracks and a load of sand paper that will last me along time. I have been reading this forum for about a month now and find it very helpful and educational. I got the festool bug after looking at the dust extraction system. I do alot of routering both by hand and table work and you know how much dust they make. Looking forward to the router purchase!
