WOW,
This sounds like an attractive offer.  Is it possible that you list what will be in #1 and #2 ...and, insert photos - all into this thread? Thanks.

Here is an CLOSE APPROXIMATION of what will be in the kit. I filled it with stuff from my trauma bag and my 'spares'.

And here it is *trying* to fit into a SYS1 (I  took the inserts out of my Centrotec set and used that ).

NOTE: I made no attempt to arrange stuff in any order - just tried to see how it fit (or not). The final product would be neatly organized and easy to use.

So, this begs another question:

A. Would anyone have a problem if I moved up to SYS 2? Edit: This would be an Attic Sys 2 with BandAids, SplinterOut and other 'common' items handy on the top, and less used items inside.

B. Should I carefully remove a few items from the kit (10 bandaids instead of 20, etc.) to make it fit into a Sys1? I believe I can do this without compromising the First Aid value of the kit. This would have the added benefit of reducing the cost, although probably not by much. And, of course, the DISadvantage would be that you might need to re-stock it more frequently.

What say you, oh wise ones?

While you were posting, so was I !

:-)

Check the post below yours...

If we're talking about a Sys 2, what about an attic Sys? Just an idea, it might yield a bit more organization to the finished product.  Thanks so much for working on this.      -Toby

In an emergency, I would need to have my supplies more organized than what you are presenting.

OF COURSE! That's why I carefully posted "I made no attempt to arrange it in any order - just tried to see how it fit (or not)". To make it clearer, I just went back and edited my post to add this in BOLD.

That's a great idea - let me see what I can do to make that happen.

Edit - the more I think about this, the better I like it!!! BandAids and everyday stuff in the top, less-used stuff inside. Let me make some inquiries ...

Count me in.  I'd vote for #1, and downsize the contents to fit neatly in a sys-1.

I think the mobile guys might appreciate the more compact kit, OTOH, I love the attic idea as well.  If pressed, I'd probably choose sys 1 and downsize the kit.

I added a lot of extras to my Festool first aid systainer, not as much as you had pictured. The systainer one is too small.

Seems like you could organize the contents better with the Sys 2.  That would give enough room for dividers or pockets to use for organization purposes.

Here's where I am at right now:

I have contacted a couple of medical supply firms for prices. Give me a couple of days on this.

I have contacted a couple of suppliers for pricing & availability on a SYS 2 attic. I have also asked about the possibility of a SYS 1 attic, but I don't know if that's even an option. I have no idea how long it will take to get answers on the Systainers, but since I suspect communication will take place across continents and time zones I assume it will be a few days. Please be patient.

When you are planning the organization ....................

Both the generic eight  and five compartment inserts look pretty suitable. There are also adjustable divider inserts available.  The inserts  don't go all the way to the top in a Sys - II so that would leave some  interior height breathing room for taller objects, but also leave some unused space. Also consider that the attic lid doesn't leave any space in the lid. So in a Sys - I attic the interior height is about 3"  and about 5" in a Sys-II.  I am pretty sure a Sys - I attic would be a special order requiring minimums or you would need to buy both sizes and do a lid swap.

When you say gray do  you mean Lt. gray or Anthracite?

Seth

One other thought - could you include a list, potentially laminated in the kit for restocking purposes?  Could be lid attached, or just loose in the box.

Thanks a lot for doing this.  I'd prefer a Sys 1, but would go for a Sys 2 if that is where it ends up.

I mean Lt. Gray, as I do not think Anthracite would be at all appropriate for a first aid kit. While we're on the subject of case colors, and assuming that I could make this happen, which is not at all a given -  would anyone that has committed so far have a problem with this, either with or without the cross on the T-LOC

Sorry about all the questions, but I'd like to make the nicest, cleanest, 'bestest' kit that I can.
