Update for 2-15-2014:
First, my apologies as this is going to be long. USPS delivered the Sys 2 attic this afternoon. Here it is sitting next to the Sys 1:

Yep, this is gonna work!
Before you view the rest of the photos, I need to make some disclaimers.
This is a NEAR FINAL version, but it's still a prototype. Some things will still change, such as:
• Brands and packaging - all of the items you see came from my kits and spares. The items you get will be purchased new and 'fresh' and may not look exactly the same, but the function will be identical. For instance, wherever possible I will be buying Coverlet brand cloth bandages, since they are the #1 choice used in hospitals. Yes, they cost a bit more but - like the green kool-aid - I think they are worth it. They're what *I* would want in my kit, so that's what will be in there!
• Quantities - may vary SLIGHTLY based on fit. For instance, you might get 16 1"x3" bandages or you might get 20. Depends on what fits neatly.
• The Systainer - the Systainer WILL BE A SYS 2 Attic/ Lid-Sort. It will either look like this one, or it will be a Carmine Red bottom with this Lid. We are still waiting to hear back from Tanos.
• The Latch - that cute white cross on the latch is just a label that I cut out by hand with a scissor. I will attempt to get decent pricing on having it screen printed. This may or may not happen. If it doesn't I will look for other options.
Things still needing to be done:
* Once I get the actual kit contents in, I will work on packaging them even more neatly and efficiently. That may require buying a few zip-lock bags and other organizing items, but they should be pretty inexpensive.
* The Systainer needs more labels to quickly identify it as a first-aid kit. TBD.
• The price needs to be finalized. I am working on that.
• There is no list of contents inside the lid. There will be in the final version.
OK, time for more pictures. Here is what the kit looks like when it is closed:

I gave a LOT of thought to what should be in the lid. Here's why the things that are in there are in there:
First, I have to assume that there may not be water or a sink where you are working. Then assume you cut or puncture your finger - anything from a paper cut to something that may require a few stitches. When you open the attic lid, the first thing dead center are some clean (not quite sterile since they are open) 3x3 gauze pads. You grab one to place over the cut to stop or control bleeding. Oh - why aren't these sterile and in individual packages? Because at this point you need them FAST and you may not be able to easily open a package with one hand bleeding. (I told you I thought a lot about this!
If it's a minor cut, you then grab one of the BZK towelettes directly behind the gauze and use it to gently clean the wound so a bandage will stick. Use another gauze pad to clean/dry the skin if needed. Find the appropriate size bandage (the most common sizes are 3/4" wide and 1" wide and both are there on the left side in the front, and the next most commonly used are the knuckle bandages that are on the right side in the front). Behind the bandages in the left rear corner are individual packets of Triple AntiBiotic Ointment (think Neosporin). Tear the packet open, apply to bandage or wound, and place bandage over cut.
And what if you burn yourself with the glue from that fancy new edgebander or whatever? Open the attic lid, clean area with BZK towlette (optimal), open and apply A&D burn ointment to affected area, and apply bandage to cover.
All this without ever opening the Systainer!
If you need to go inside, here's what you'll find:

The case on the right contains all the OTC medications, the sterile tongue depressors, the penlight, the sharpie, steri-strips, tape, and two (for now) empty spots. Here is a close-up:

I have a LIMITED NUMBER of these cases ( I bought all I could get anticipating this use) so if you aren't one of the first 36 to sign up you may not get one. Everyone who has committed before this post is covered.
And finally here is what the interior looks like with the OTC med container removed:

So there you have it. A near-final version of what you'll be getting.
