Can I salvage a burned out ATS55e

I know the answer will be to just treat yourself to a new saw but I had expected this to be a lifetime tool.  I bought this tool when I started my own business and it has been babied.  I was called on to make some shelves out of 3/4 Europly Baltic birch that needed a v-fold edge.  End result was that I burned out the motor either from a dirty blade or maybe voltage drop on the circuit.  I sent it for service and the parts are no longer available.  Wonder if anyone has last resort suggestions. I treasure my Festool arsenal and I hate to just pitch this because it is pristine and special as the first piece I bought.  Any ideas or resources?

I know this isn't a direct answer to your question but I too am still using an AT 55-e that I bought circa 2005. It has been running fine but I've only used it maybe 2 dozen times.

I have considered upgrading to a newer saw but never have since the this one has been working fine. Might consider selling it for a reasonable price if you wanted to have one for using and one for spare parts.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to take some pictures yet. But I'm wondering if this will really work. I would be hoping for maybe $200 plus shipping for the saw (no track) with a newly sharpened 48-tooth blade. But it looks like shipping could be $40 or more for UPS Ground, depending on where you are (I'm in Boston). It's in classic systainer.

Does this still make sense. If so I'll go take some photos.

Ha! Warranty?  This saw was replaced by the TS 55 sometime in mid 2000s. I doubt that there is any provision of the warranty that extends to about 15 years. You linked to a UK warranty, not a US one, but I still doubt anything applies to this old saw.

It's ten years of replacement parts availability from retirement.

And it's German Law, not necessarily cause Festool cares deeply about the end users.

ATF55 has been discontinued at least 15 though.  Some parts are still available though. Just not the ones that make it chooch.

AFAIK this is a Festool policy, not mandated by law.

Do you have a Link to the relevant Gesetz? Would really make my day if this (free replacement in case of spare part not available within 10 years of end of sale) would be a result of legislation - and my lawyer a rich man from all the quite new but unrepairable stuff  that can be gotten for basically free from ebay...
