Hi Shane

You are, as always, brilliant.

Will this be a world wide capability or will it be NAO? It would be nice to think that by registering a tool once (our UK ones seem to be captured by German HQ) that we only need to log into our Festool account to report an item as stolen. It would then be even nicer if all Festool repair centres did the check for every tool going through the repair chain.

Well done again.

Peter

Ha, it's not even a NA reality yet, and keep in mind Shane has been promising us this super cool "account management" system for years now. You may well get it in the UK before we do here.  Maybe if Shane would stop screwing around on the internet all day and do some work......  Just kidding Shane, you know we all love you, well, maybe kinda like you. [tongue] [big grin]

Gee, thanks Brice.  [crying] I have more ideas than hours to get them done.

Peter, I have little influence over what happens outside of the US/Canada regarding websites. Christian has taken note of the idea and that means that he will likely pitch the idea to Festool Germany. I will be there at the end of April and have a meeting scheduled with a colleague who's involved in administering the websites. I can also mention it then.

How many have spent 5 minutes or more, wandering around the shop or job site, looking for that pencil you were using, only to reach up to scratch your head and notice that the pencil was slid in under the brim of your hat ?

As Homer Simpson says:  DOH !!!  [big grin]

Emphasis on the "or more". I once turned around and drove 2 miles back to the house to get my glasses. Bet I don't need to tell you where they were.  [embarassed]

The Inuit had a cure for this problem. Whenever they broke camp someone would walk around and 'leave' a few items of relative unimportance for those creatures that would normally sneak into camp during the night to pilfer the important things. I believe misplacing things is a universal trait, but I am sure that I personally am genetically predisposed to lose things. At least that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.
