More later, but it looks like Festool will be delaying the USA release of the Carvex jigsaws. New date is not known at this time.

Bummer for sure, but will keep you posted. I know there is disappointment but it's a great saw and the details needed to be fine tuned -to Festool's specs. Got my fingers crossed for later this year on this one.

Darn, I was getting really close to pre-ordering one!  I guess I'll have to get some router bits while they last.   [tongue]

Shane will, I'm sure be posting, but that Carvex will make it over to this side of the pond, and after the technical/whatever issues get worked through, will be worth the wait.
BTW, the CSX drill is a go for June 1.

I was really looking forward to it for some summer outdoor furniture projects, but like many, I'd prefer they get it right. Thanks for the head's up and we'll keep waiting for this one. My old Bosch still cuts just fine ;-)  Tom

  I hear you Tom.
Better to be good and get it right than fast and get it wrong.

having played with one i think it is a shame....i wonder what the cover story is? [tongue] I hate to admit it but i really do not expect Festool to meet its release deadlines.

It is a shame, in the sense that the saw is to use a terribly overused term "amazing/incredible", but I also know Festool won't release a tool to met a deadline, if it isn't up to spec.
Again, disappointing as it is for all of us, I'd rather them wait, rather than rush.

Always better for a company to hold to its standards than to rush something out that isn't quite ready.

I think we are all in agreement with that. They did the right thing and the Carvex, Festool and the customers will be the better for it.
