Carvex - did the fix but have two parts left over

I did the Carvex blade wobble fix, and I am very happy with the results, except for two issues I accidentally caused.

1. I have two parts left over. All my looking and thinking was to no avail I am including a picture.

Could someone please tell me what the parts are for?

2. A green wire came disconnected during the "operation." I was pretty careful and handled things as gently as I could. Based on what I saw in the video showing how to do the fix, I think it goes under the white sticker that is on the metal housing that is visible when you take the case apart. Also, it doesn't look like a broke a solder joint and there isn't really any solder on the exposed filaments of the wire.

Does anyone know whether it is a ground wire and is attached with the sticker on the metal housing?

I will look for an exploded diagram, but I thought I would ask here also.

Thanks

I found a parts diagram, and the green wire does go under the white sticker. I think I dislodged it when I was putting the case back together. I kept having issues getting the two halves to close back up tightly. I think the wire got snagged during that struggle.

By the way, I drew a straight line and with the fix, the Carvex followed it perfectly without me having to fight it. Felt buttery smooth.

FWIW, it was a piece of 4/4 pine and I was cutting long grain.

Thanks, Cheese. It looks like a reasonable guess to me.

The parts diagram I found says those two parts are part of the socket housing, which did come out. But I didn't take it apart, so the two pieces would have been on the outside of the socket housing, maybe in the pivot point.

But since the socket seems to be seated and moving just fine, I guess I will wait and see. I did look at it before I reassembled the jigsaw housing, and I didn't see any place where it would fit.

Those parts are present twice, each.

The blade whobble was never about not going a straight line but going uncontrollable.

Sorry if I wasn't very clear. The blade dancing around is no longer an issue. So it is easy to start the cut just where I want to.

And in my experience before the fix, even when pushing the saw forward during a cut, the blade did not always seat in the blade guide, which was both frustrating and not expected.

But still, it seems to me that the saw now cuts along a straight line very easily, more than before the fix. But I could be misremembering.

PS If you mean the spring and pressure piece, I now see in the parts diagram that two of each are installed. Funny. Only one came out, and I couldn't find where it goes or find another set. Thanks for the correction.
