Carvex Pin Fix - Any Regrets or Issues

This post is directed at those of you who did the Carvex pin fix for blade wobble. Now that it's been a while since this fix was discovered, any regrets or issues over time?

I picked up two Carvex, both a D-Handle and Barrel Grip, on clearance from Rockler over the summer. I've now burned up two blades running them against a guide trying to make a short, straight cut. Blade drifts off to the side, smokes and melts the splinter guard.

I may have had them too long to return them so I am considering the pin fix. I already have the pins, in fact.

  This mod really transformed my carvexes and has not had any negative effect at all.  I like the saws much better now. They should have came this way from the factory.
