Ok, guys. Carvex pricing is out!!!

461466, PS 400, $350
461472, PSB 400, $350
497709, Carvex base accessort kit, $200

I just saw it now at the Festool roadshow and to say it's incredible is not to say enough. It's amazing!

Available June 1st. I'll have it on my website soon for pre-order.

Bob

Thanks for posting Bob.  Just so everyone knows, these are corded models.  So, that leads to obvious question, what about the cordless models?

The pricing isn't too bad on the saws, good thing you can buy the accessories separately if you don't want all of the stuff in the kit.

Thanks for the info Bob. That is one of the tools that it seems like I have been waiting years for.  [tongue]

but really Bob… [mad] time to put on your game face and rough up Shane a little to get some info on when that Centrotec set ;)

This is great. I did not replace my jig saw after my shed was broken into. I have been waiting for this baby [wink].  Too bad it will still be almost two month before it ships.

Hey, Bob's from Jersey and Italian, I bet he knows people that could make Shane talk. [tongue]  Please understand I'm joking guys, don't send any dead fish to me door.... [big grin]

Besides, I'll rough Shane up next week if Bob can't make his talk before then.

No price yet on the battery models as they won't be here until the fall.

Alright, thanks Bob.

Jeez Bob. My old Bosch jigsaw IS kind of ratty but the UPS man is starting to agree with my wife that I am nuts with all this green and gray stuff that keeps showing up from your warehouse [cool]

I see today my Domino tenon/bit kit is on its way today too  [thanks]

6-pack of tuna on the way!  [eek]  Remember, Bob's originally from "Bwooklyn".

Damn right, where a man's a man. ;D. Ok, for you too Brice.

I am really surprised at the price.  I was expecting to pay much, much more.  It might be time to replace my very old and junky hitachi...

Great news Bob!

what about purchasing individual bases? I really only want three, the standard the radius base and attachment and the bevel base. what's that gonna run me?

I have been waiting for the Carvex like all of you.  I had an opportunity to test drive prototype models last July.  Shane was disappointed that I didn't play with it longer.

My answer "I don't need to.  It kicks butt and my Bosch will be retired and given to charity"

That is my observation, not a sales pitch.

When I was an athlete there was a phrase that was passed around - it was "sandbagging"  which equates to not performing to your abilities.  This year, after seeing what is coming out I can say - Thanks Festool for getting out of the sandbagging mode and getting down and dirty in the sandbox.

Ha, I'm glad it was you that said it.  I afraid if I had said that Shane might have to take a swing at me next week. [big grin]  In all seriousness, I understand the bad economy and the other factors that go into product launch but we where definitely getting the short end of the stick on these new products.

Brice,

I think that I may not have spoken clearly.  My thanks to Festool, and Festool USA was about bringing a bunch of killer stuff to the market, both here and elsewhere.

If my memory serves me correctly, new tool development is a 6 plus year process.  I am glad that something happened 6 years ago that was great and I look forward to what happened 5 years ago.

In my opinion Festool has a battle here in North America fighting the boutique tool label.

My suggestion to Festool - imitate a shoe manufacturer - Just do it!
