I think I saw that somewhere here on the FOG. Is it in the instructions or literature?
I assume the Carvex has been extensively tested with commonly available blades. You're not locked into Festool blades right?
Dealers have been notified and the Trion blades are no longer a current product offering. I don't know if it's explicitly in any product documentation. I'd have to check the manual and supplemental manual to see.
The issue is with our Trion FSG blades, which are made slightly thicker and to be more rigid to help ensure perpendicular cuts. I've not heard anything about any other blade having issues.
To explain further... the Trion blade can be used with the Carvex. It inserts fine, cuts fine. However, when you go to eject it, the blade thickness may prevent the spring from ejecting the blade because the blade is so thick that it rubs the opening on the chuck.
We're not talking about something that's going to cause a serious issue. At most, it would mean you'd have to pull the blade out manually.
