Been using my Carvex PSC420 and generally pretty happy with it.

However just wondering about the 'A' or automatic speed setting.
When I select this it moves the blade slower until you push into the cut and move the jigsaw faster, at which point the blade speeds up...obviously this is normal. However if I slow down the Carvex maintains its speed and doesn't slow the blade back down...so in essence it's a soft start not really an 'Auto' speed control...is this normal with the PSC 420 or should the speed of the blade vary?

Also there is a slight delay when flicking the green side switch to put power on, not a big delay, just very slight but it's there nonetheless. Turning power off is pretty instant though.
Anyone else have this with a PSC420/400?

Thanks.

I believe that what you are experiencing is normal.  The auto feature is to help you get aligned at the start of the cut at the board edge.  Once it senses the material it is full speed ahead.

It also does have a soft start in the non-A mode.

I've had mine since they first came out.
