My next purchase need will be a jigsaw and was hoping to hold out for the carvex.  Any chance of a us release anytime in the near future in the States?  Would love to get my hands on one!  I love the fact my t15 battery will work with it.

P.S.  I did a search hear and did not see anything and I looked on the festoolusa site.

Bones,

I doubt it will be anytime soon on US soil. They're having enough problems fulfilling the demand in Europe (one of the components in the battery control system is also used on the iPad, and Apple have bought them all up, including ones not made yet. Or so I heard).

Alternatively, there is (was?) a naked version on eBay in the US recently.

2nd alternative; do you have any relatives in Europe?

Figures!  I saw the one on ebay but that power US.vs. EU would probable be an issue (maybe?)

I wouldn't expect to see it until very late in the year at the earliest.  For the reasons mentioned by Jonny.  Additionally, I think there was higher than expected demand in Europe for it.  Typically, I we communicate to dealers 2-3 months in advance of a launch.  As soon as there's definitive information, it will be propagated out to dealers and customers.

I know you guys are anxious to get it, so are we!  [drooling]

Also their was a problem with the Carvex(CORDLESS) because I had pre-ordered mine and the UK didn't get them till just  the other week. Which must would of slowed everything down.

Thanks Shane, I'm sure we will hear as soon as possible.  I think I'll just make do and wait.  In this economy it must be rough to have something you could sell a lot of today if you only had the inventory!  Dam supply chain  [big grin]

It's a cordless tool, so no issues with voltage difference aside from the charger. If you have a T15 drill (which you have) then the charger for that will work with the batteries from the carvex. So either get a naked tool (body only) and use the batteries & charger from your T15, or if you have relatives/friends in Europe get them to buy a full set & just chuck out the charger...

Any repair work could be a issue US/EU other than that as jonny says your'e good to go and you would need some of those blades for the circles
