Carvex Radius jig

The radius jig comes with a pin for the centre of the arc, for my application i didnt want a hole so i turned up a self adhesive pivout pin as shown below. you get 2 or 3 uses before the double sided tape needs replacing

i have a metal lathe and a small mill so i turned it out of a brass bar i had. then i put it in a chuck on a rotary table, located the centre of the pin then machined notches for aligning to the pencil marks, it was a 60mm radius corner i was cutting and the carvex blade moaned a little but i had my hand on the pivot and a hand on the saw

For circle cutting there are special blades with teeth wider than rear blade body.
