I got my Carvex jigsaw back today and it was supposed to have been upgraded so I can turn the lights off. Following the inc instructions, nothing happens??? Am I doing something wrong? Pressing the 2 side buttons for 10 seconds makes no beeping sound...

Cheers john.

There's no need to swear!

(Sorry cant help you with your problem though.)

There is I'm going to fling it in the nearest skip shortly  [big grin]

John..

are there any other things that should have changed after the upgrade? so you can see if yours is still an old model or not. You can also contact festool with the serial number, that way you are certain.

it was the older model, but has just arrived back to me from Festool with the upgrade fitted. Following the instructions they supplied nothing happens  [mad]

John...

Getting picked backup on Monday..... See if there 2nd attempt is any better  [big grin]

Well what a shock!!!!!!!!!!!! No one turned up to collect the saw....

John.....

Well my jigsaw is still there.  I phoned them today to get an update as they have had it for over a week.  Turns out they haven't looked at it !  He's going to have a look & get back to me tomorrow.  How long would have it sat there for before I phoned ?  He said he tested it & can't find anything wrong ???  I can't even use it without the blade going all over the place.

Not confident at all.

They are a total waste of space.... There customer service is a joke...

John......

customer service I thought when the phone rang it was handed to a urine soaked alcaholic tramp woman [big grin]

I see TTS is not letting me down and living up to my experience of them.

I wish to God that some one at TTS De reads some of this and does something before TTS Uk ruins Festool`s reputation in this country.

Half the justification of buying Festool, is the legendary "customer service and back up" well from this thread and others and my experience half of the reasons are disappearing fast.

The Festool experience is becoming like the Mercedes Benz experience , It must be a British thing, take excellent German Engineering and ruin its reputation with bad customer service.

too my knowledge at least two members of tts uk read this forum and one of them asked me  a week or so ago how they can make the end user happy.
there are some changes afoot but how this will help anyone not in or around the london area I'm not sure.

German auto customer service is not great over here either.

the only way to stop this crap from festool is to return the tools. you have the right under your statutary rights (at least i do here) . i wouldnt take this crap of tools breaking  and not being fixed in a decent time frame. also if they (or any company ) fixes something under warrenty and it breaks again similarly they have to fix or replace it again . even if its out of warrenty. a repair has to be permenent.
stand up for your rights.
drop in the tools for repair . ask for a receipt of repair request. if its not fixed in the agreed time ask for  new one.
