Carvex settings

Although I am disappointed with the service of my Carvex, every other time I have contacted TTS I have been more than satisfied.  Would it be Aimie that answers the phone ? Very pleasant to me & couldn't have been more help.  Like I said on the OF2200 thread, they fixed my out of warranty OF1400 for free with quite a few parts fitted.  Can't really ask for better than that & I had it back in around 1 week, good considering where in the country I am.

I don't know what the problem is with the Carvex, like I told the engineer today on the phone, if I had my time over I would not have bought that jigsaw.  That is the only Festool I can say that about & I have a few.

The daft thing is this, I love my Carvex , it is the best jigsaw I have ever used, barr none. But it had to go back to Germany and was put right there. So draw your own conclusions.

Got it back today..... and i can now turn the stupid light off  [big grin] [big grin]

The Festool experience is becoming like the Mercedes Benz experience , It must be a British thing, take excellent German Engineering and ruin its reputation with bad customer service.

German auto customer service is not great over here either.
I had terrible problems with the local MB dealership in England 20 years ago. So i wrote to MB headquarters. MB UK were straight on the case. A not so local dealer contacted me and gave me first class service. Funny the local outfit changed hands a year later. Now I'm a full time carpenter I can't afford a Mercedes, but am tempted to write to Festool.de.

I never really knew if there was anything wrong with the cutting (never really tried it) Its just the saw itself, the grip on the handle was made for a 5 year olds hands and the speeding up and down when using it...Im probably just going to go for a Bosch, or another Hilti (if i can find one cheap)

I have now ordered the Bosch GST140  [big grin] Has any one tried one?

My CS70 does that too and I don't like it one bit. I don't think I'll buy another saw that does that.

Alex

Your CS 70 has a problem with the electronics, I had the same problem and sent it back to Festool. Works like a dream now it's one of my favourite festools.
