The home made dust hose on my Carvex keeps catching on the work piece, how do the proper Festool hoses attach to the carvex?

I've been using my Carvex to cut some pieces out of 20mm construction plywood.  The saw does a great job with the dust collection, it's not perfect but the floor sweepings are very small.  My "27mm reducing sleeve / gaffa tape / vacuum hose" keeps getting stuck on the edge of the work piece.  It also adds about 300mm (30cm, 1ft, 12inch) of "stuff" to drag around with the saw, which makes the saw a bit awkward to steer.  How do the proper Festool hoses attach to to the carvex?  Please post pictures.  This might be the reason I need to buy a Festool shop vac.

The carvex has an "outside" bayonet connection which the standad 27 mm hose internal bayonet connects to. This makes for a very compact and rigid connection. The same for 22 mm hose as the ends are identical.

The angle is such that the hose is "lifted" a bit near the saw and normally you would either wrap the rest of the hose around your hand or leverage the sleeved hose to not get stuck /too/ easily on the material edge.

Attached a photo from the Festool site.

If you are on the edge of a budget, just get the CT 15. You cannot go wrong with that one on value. And can always relegate it for a fixed or home duty once Bluetooth or the sleeved hose are sought.

You do not get the nice sleeved hose, but will get rid of the monstrosity you have now. Been there ... or, get the cleaning set with the hose ans the

Mino, thank you very much for posting that photo.  I hadn't noticed the bayonet connection to the Festool hose, and how it lifts the hose slightly.  I think my problem is I've not got a proper Festool Vac my home made solution is too heavy and not being lifted off the work piece.  I'll post a picture later on when I get home from work.

Thanks

So this is my current set up, don't laugh too much, it does it's job.
I never thought of looping the hose over my arm, I do that with the track saw and it works well.  I should have thought to try it with the carvex.

Even with the fairly sleek connection, the hose does still need to be "managed", either with the opposite hand, or over your arm. It's not quite as smooth as it is with a track saw, but does work. Personally, I would rather hold it with the other hand, if possible.
