My friend was tired of her guest room becoming her cat room. She needed a place to put the litter box where she didn't have to deal with smelling up a whole room. The garage was the obvious choice but there's no direct access to the garage from the house proper. So first I made this. The door flap is a $3 floor may fr Home Depot cut in half and doubled up.

Then I made this on the other side of the wall in the garage.

The lid folds down into a table that you can leave the litter box on when changing the litter so you don't have to do it on the floor of the cluttered garage.

A couple days after I was done she called me back and said we had overlooked putting vents in it. I mounted my guide rail, clamped on one end and holding the other for dear life. And made four double thick 12.5 degree angles up cuts in the side of the box. It was frightening and wonderful. Forgot to take another pic after.
