I used the 5mm domino bit to create mortises for the woven hinoki slats.

When I get off my backside and get a photo album together, I'll post pictures of my bamboo plywood kitchen cabinets.

Not sure why NOBODY has left a comment but great job!  Simple and elegant... the Japanese way. Once it gets some growth on it, post it back up!

Great little project.

Cheers. Bryan.

Very nice, it would look great with clematis or honeysuckle.  Show us the kitchen, I have a daughter that loves bamboo.

That's beautiful. Beats the pants off the trestle I made last year.

Now that my wife's seen this I have another example to justify a domino purchase.  ;)

Thanks for sharing!

Where did you find Plyboo in the Philly area?
Curious since I am not far away.

Great looking trellis, can you tell us what wood
and some rough dimensions it is please.

Thanks for the compliments.

The trellis is roughly 3'2"w x 5'6"h, built with leftover cedar from the copper tubing/cedar deck rail I built. there was nothing magical about the dimensions, other than being roughly shoji-esque.

The "client" (my wife, an award-winning container gardener) now has a honeysuckle working its way up the trellis.

I bought the bamboo plywood for the kitchen from Cali Bamboo. It's not cheap. Fun fact: Bamboo plywood is heavy as all get out and you need a sharp blade.
