Here is a great, fast and accurate way to set your trim stop. (well i think it is ;D )
For those who remembered way, way back when Domi was new here, i had shown how i removed the black plastic dovetail stops on top of the fence. I did it mainly to get an extra 30mm height for the fence and to make cleaning and maintenance easier. The other bonus is it makes it so much easier to adjust the trim stop quick and with great accuracy.
Pic 1 shows the fence removed from the Domi body and fitted with the trim stop. Place the timber to be morticed in a vice, and losen the lime knobs, and with a spring clamp secure each side of the movable stop to the timber.
Pic 2 shows the fence which slides easly left to right over the timber. Just use the scale to center it and then as shown in pic 3 tighten the lovely lime green knobs.
Sounds simple? it is ;D and its very, very fast and spot on for accuracy, as the sides dont move when tightening the knobs like they did for me when tightening it the standard way. And its so much easier with out the weight of the Domi body attached
