Why don't Festool make a Centronic 50mm length driver in PH & PZ? a 75mm length driver wouldn't hurt either.

This must be too trivial for a reply from Festool. That's a pity as I don't and I am a customer.

I've taken to making my own. I chuck the bits in my drill press and use a mill file to cut down the corners of readily available commercial bits of whatever length I desire. After a few passes, the bit will slip into the Centrotec chuck.

Then, I put a metal cutting abrasive disk in my table saw, chuck the bit in my hand drill and grind the notch that is used to lock the bit into the Centrotec chuck.

Casper,

We are still waiting for an answer from Germany. As soon as we hear back, we will post an answer.

The answer from Germany came in:

"I suppose you are talking about the length of the CENTROTEC-Bits. Originally we wanted to start with bits in 50 mm length only, without a bitholder.
But during field testing we found out, that the customers insisted to maintain  the magnetic effect of the bitholder, that's why we offer both: the magnetic bitholder to be combined with the 25 mm standard bits and the Centrotec bits with 100 mm length.
We never heard from customers that they need an intermediate length."

Thanks Christian. It seems to me that in confined spaces a shorter bit would be nice. Places like internal cabinet spaces etc.
