Wow, just got my sysnotes, and I have to admit, I want that set.  The fortsner bit set looks interesting as well.

I to received my Sysnotes and found I like the Centrotec Set myself. So one is on reserve at the Tool Nut for me, oh yeah Fortsner bits also.
Oh well Festool budget money well spent for me. [thumbs up]

I've got it - but I'm a sucker for centrotec. Dare I own up and say it's the third set I"ve bought? Trouble is they never have ALL you need so the other two we stripped out and the stuff went into a the systainer thing with drawers. It took me a couple of years to pluck up the courage to throw away the inserts as they are such good quality. I don't think I'll ever use all the pozi bits ...
Get one it's cheaper than buying all the stuff separately

I'd really like to get it, but I think I'd like to see this one in person.  I bet I'd walk out of the store with it if I took my wallet in... [smile]

Tim, I'm not trying to employ scare tactics, but I want to make sure you and others aren't disappointed. We will have a very limited quantity of these and with the demand just that we've seen expressed by members here on the forum, I expect them to be gone VERY quickly.

I have the original set that is sold in Europe. It's largely the same as this new one. I cannot recommend it strongly enough. It would be a crying shame to want one and find it is sold out.

OK Shane (and Richard  [wink]) -- The scare tactics that you didn't use ( [smile]) just now prompted me to get a set preordered...  [blink]

Is the CT-48 going to be in very limited supply also???  [eek]

Depends... will it encourage you to preorder one?  [blink]

The CT 48 will not be a limited time product, unlike the Centrotec Set. So, worse case it would be backordered if we had too few. But, I'm confident we'll have enough to meet demand at launch.

Why are you guys making a small amount of such a good thing?

I guess too much of a good thing ruins it...

Like everyone else, I was impressed with the North America Centrotec set shown at AWFS.

In my shop I am the only cabinet maker who does not own Festool cordless drills and drivers. From the show floor while still in the Festool booth I phoned my dealer to pre-order 2 of those sets.

Now if Festool would make corded drills and drivers for guys like me who only work in our shops close to electrical outlets.

Actually all of my cabinet makers will be receiving CMX drill sets next week to celebrate our super successful first year in our new shop.

I'm guessing you noticed, Carroll, that the set comes with a Centrotec adapter so that any drill can become a Centrotec drill.
