No. Electronics doesn't prevent the cut closing on the blade. All it does is emergency brake the saw upon lift-off from the rail. So you still get the ruined anti-splinter strip, the lousy cut quality, etc.

Near weekly use on mine since 2023, been working like a champ. Never an issue with not having a riving knife.

If you never cut anything with internal tension that is possible yes.
