Hi all

Has anyone bought t-loc's complete from festool with the insert ect ? what I want to know is do they come with a internal lid cards and any bits of polystyrene or foam that normally comes in the lid to hold the tool in place?

thanks

When you buy them as empty ones they are empty.  You can buy foam inserts.  Or make foam your self

If you contact toolnut. They can help you or. Www.systainerworld.com. Has a great website with pic and many options. Check it out

If you buy them via Festool, you can get the al tloc systainers
with their original inserts, cardboard, foams and content stickers..
All complete and original..

Its gonna be dear tho!!

Cheers!

I also tried to get hold of some original T-Loc and Classic Systainers.
But the following systainers can not be ordered from Festool:
- SYS 2-DF 500 (Domino)
- SYS 2-MFK 700 & OFK 700
- SYS 1-PS 400 (Carvex)

They are not listed on the web-site and even the best & largest Festool-shop in Europe (Gerschwitz Germany) cannot get them.
You can only get the separate inserts but without stickers and cardboard.

ill bet that when you give the festool service center a call, they can give you the partnumber, and i know! that your dealer can order it for you!!

I already did and Festool NL says NO they don't excist.
You have to put them together yourself from a separate insert and an empty systainer. So without the cardboard inlay.
The stickers for the outside can be made yourself.

I'd love to upgrade as well.  At first I wasn't sold on the t locs.  But once I had more than one "wow".

Anthony,

I've got my t locs now last lot (for now) delivered yesterday. I just bought the empty ones Slingers looked into getting them with inserts for my old tools but it was much more expensive. Im just gonna cut my old ones to fit and use foam where needed.

Im trying to post a picture of my tlocs but for some weird reason it won't work. I'm pasting the link from my Flickr as I always do and its showing in preview but when I click post it disappears . Im on my HTC will try on pc later tonight .

i'll send festool germany an email..

I got still the same answer: "for these tools they are not available"
Solution:
- buy empty systainer
- buy separate insert
- make stickers yourself
- no cardboard available

Strange don't you think.

This would be my approach ...

1. Tidy up old tool in original syatainer and sell on ebay for almost what you paid for it.

2. Buy new tool in T-Loc systainer with full new warranty.

Sound crazy? Probably - but time and $'s wise you'll probably be in front ... particularly on warranty period.

Hmmm......  I think it makes more sense to put your money into more tools, than upgrading the Systainers for your existing tools.  But, that's just me.  Yet, for those that are so inclined, I think that Kev is on to something here.  [thumbs up]

LOL, I only had ETS15/5 and C15 in original systainers - everything is T-Loc. I've already done the switch on the ETS15/3 to T-Loc (snip of the scissors and who cares about the inner lid ... will do the same with the C15 shortly). The original systainers get relegated to non-Festool tools now.

Well, that doesn't work in Europe. People here aren't crazy enough to pay close-to-new prices for used Festools. 70% max for Festools in excellent condition. If the condition is less, the price will also get down.

I do like the "T"Locks, unfortunately I only have 4, the rest are old style, after a count up I decided that it was far two expensive for a hobbyist to change them all over. I might do it over time if the deals are still available.

yup, got that answer indeed.. really really strange..

i think it is because you can't buy them (ofk 700,df500&ps400) without a systainer..
their only available in a set or a -plus version..

but still very weird..!!

Never thought of that.
And it's not even told by Festool?

nope, figured it out myself :D

Here is my new stack just gotta sell off my classics which so far are selling well  ;D

Im thinking of getting a laminator and some credit card size pockets so I can print out the labels and laminate them so they last a bit longer, I noticed the label spaces on the t loc are exactly the same size as a credit card.
