Thanks to FOG for pointing me in the direction of the Chaos Theory Festool Germany videos.  Recently I completed my own version of these cabinets to fit my limited garage space.  Having the tools organized and easily accessible is fantastic, I can't believe home much easier it is to work when you can get to all your tools quickly.

Some photos of the build.

Melamine panels from Menards.  special order Folkstone Grey color with matching FastCap stick-on edging.  Drawer / Shelf slides are 18" but only 3/4 extension, could be shorter with full extension slides but then the upper cabinets would not have had as much room.

That looks very neat and tidy.  And there's room for expansion!  Nice work.  I like the colour, too.

I've got a few more tools on my list, tried to leave room for more without making it too big and empty.

Looking good. What type of heater you have there, looking for a unit for my shop

Oh how I miss Menard's. They have the best big box going in my book. Just not south of the Mason Dickinson line.

Your cabinets look great.  Did you use the Hafele connectors like in the Chaos wall?

Those cabinets are the bees knees, awesome. I'm jealous. Would like to do something similar myself.
What are you going to do with the bottom right area. It seems the toe-kick base shows? I assume you're gonna paint or cover that in to match? or are you going to add more cabinets and have a final habit longer on that side to the floor? Or even bother about it?
Man they look sweet, you've done such a great job.

I like it a lot!

It took me a while to find a working link...

Can you tell me the drawer roller manufacture and their part numbers?
The previous pdf link "ist nicht gefunden", so the individual internal width and depth would be great to know also.
And any other bits to know about attaching it together... But much was making sense from the videos.

The heater is a Beacon Morris 45k btu from Menards, I didn't get it installed until late Feb. but for the limited time I was able to use it the garage was kept very warm.

Didn't use Hafele connectors, domino and glue.  The dis-advantage in doing it this way is you now have a very big and heavy box to move around, also meant that I couldn't use the common panel like they did in the video so I have more material ($$)

The base didn't line up very well and when I tried to put a trim piece on the cover the 2x4's I couldn't.  I ended up removing the last cabinet and fixing the base and then I was able to put a trim piece on.  I wanted to extend the cabinets with more but the gas line for the heater was in the way.  I plan to put a laundry type of sink and cabinet to the right of these cabinets but there will be a space between the cabinets.  I am now using the end of the tall cabinet to store my rails so that space between cabinets will be put to good use.

I bought the slides and hinges from http://www.ovisonline.com/

Everything worked great except for the shelf pins which were the type that you can put a screw in the bottom to better secure the shelf but that also meant that you had to have some clearance on the side of the shelf, I pre-cut all of the shelves so I had to re-cut them to get them to work.
