Cheaper alternative to anti-static 36MM hose?

I'm looking for a much cheaper alternative to the Festool brand anti-static vacuum hose.  I want to connect it from my festool vacuum to the Kapex 36 mm od fitting.  Any ideas?

Festools-online / Beaver tool just sold me the old style ribbed hose for 87.50. Already arrived today.

The Bosch 35mm hoses fit Festool nicely. I think they're anti-static. Available on Amazon for much less than Festools hoses.

Does the end go over the 36mm capex saw connection ?

I just did this about a month ago.  You can get the Bosch hose and replace the end with the Festool 487721 Hose Sleeve, Reducing Sleeve For Antistatic D 36 Hose.  I'm using that now on my Kapex.

While these solutions are much less expensive that Festool, it still seems like a lot to pay for a hose.  Thanks for your responses.

I've had my bosch 35 mm hose for years and it's still in great shape. I did eventually buy the festool hoses anti static green ones, but I still use my bosch hose and prefer it, it is more flexible. It was a lot cheaper when I bought it, seems like everything else, they have gone up too.

That 50mm2.5M hose on closeout sounds really great for the Kapex - if I didn't already have something in place I'd be all over that.

The 50mm hose doesn't work so well on the Kapex. You need the right combination of airflow and volume. The 36mm is optimum.

Oneida-Air. Much cheaper alternatives there. They have a popular 2.5" that should fit the Kapex for around $25 shipped.

You're right, it is a lot.  The non-AS Bosch 35mm hose works fine, you don't need an AS hose.  That brings the price down a bit

Near as I can tell, this hose is exactly the same stuff Festool uses for their non-AS hoses.  Cut it down to a 5ft length and replace the tool end connector (easy to swap them out) with the Festool hose sleeve mentioned above.  I think that puts you around $60 all in.

Great suggestion! I forgot about that Bosch one!

I like the bosch hose option EXCEPT I want the small end to fit on the OUTSIDE of the Kapex so it needs to be 38 mm ID on the small end.  Has anyone found a conversion fitting to go from the bosch hose to a 38mm ID fitting?

Here is the Bosch hose with the Festool 36mm fitting on the back of my kapex. Easy to pull off the factory Bosch fitting and attach the Festool fitting.

And for reference, a shot of the Festool 36mm non-AS hose and fitting from the CMS. Identical as far as I can tell.

Thanks for the pic.  Based on the information in this thread it appears that these are the options:

Anti-Static option
a) Festool 3.5meter @ 36mm hose for $175
b) Bosch 5 meter @ 35mm ANTI Static with the festool 487721 hose sleeve for ($89 + $27) = $116.  Compared to Festool, its a longer hose for $59 less money.  The Bosch hose is 58% of Festool's price.

Static hose option
c) Festool 3.5meter @ 36m  hose for $110
d) Bosch 5 meter 35mm with the festool 487721 hose sleeve for ($37 + $27) = $64.  Compared to Festool, the Bosch is a longer hose for $56 less money.  The Bosch hose is 66% of Festool's price.

I looked at the Oneida option but I couldn't figure out if the Festool sleeve would fit the hose.

There is enough information to make a decision now.  I was hoping for a $25 option but it probably doesn't exist.  I appreciate your input.

When I purchased a Kapex a few years ago, I also purchased a 'Kapex hose' from Bob Marino. It is a D36-AS hose that is rather short, something like 1.5m or so -- a perfect length for using with the Kapex. I don't see it listed on his website, but you might call and ask. It was much cheaper than getting a longer Festool hose.

You must have missed the link I posted above with the Festool hoses on 50% off sale??https://beavertools.com/festool-24/...roduct_list_order=price&product_list_dir=desc

How about $87.50https://beavertools.com/festool-24/festool-sales-closeouts/452882-festool-hose-d36x3-5m-as-ct.html

You will also need the dust collector side fitting with the blue Bosch anti-static hose. I know I have one that I caught on sale for $33, and wished I had bought two. Festool 452893 is the part number.
That makes the Bosch hose $142.

I appreciate you responding to the thread but when I follow the links I don't see the prices you're quoting.  The links show full pricing.
