Hi all
Need some advice please.
My wife's birthday is next week and one of her gifts will be a cheese board and possibly some other serving boards too.
Picked up a piece of oak, walnut, iroko and ironwood from the exotic wood merchants off cut warehouse section earlier. (could have spent all day in there - if I had my own thicknesser, would have left with an empty wallet and full vehicle)
The oak will become the cheese board and the others will become general servers or used for something else down the line.
Thinking of using Howards Cutting Board Oil followed up with their Butchers Block Conditioner?
They recommend 2x coats and for thicker wood 3-4 coats.
However the Ironwood has me worried due to how dense it actually is, will the Howards penetrate or do I need to be thinking of something else?
