Apparently the supply-demand situation has taken some weird turns. I knew this was going to happen, we have been sitting on this, while using up the regular stuff. It's still just seems funny.
This will all get covered up with either laminate (HPL) or Corian.
350 sheets of cherry and red oak were cheaper than the usual shop ply, so this is it for a while.
Before anyone asks, the pocket screwed pieces on the front are there to move the pivot point forward. They are temporary and will be removed after the units are screwed to the floor. Most of that weight is in front of the natural contact point, so they are very tippy, until the lower work surface is attached.
