I recently saw a video showing a larger chip deflector, that fits with the Table Widener. However, I can't seem to find it listed anywhere? Is it one of those NAINA things?

It looked like it attached magnetically, like the OF2200 accessories? Is it a cross-over item from that?Does anyone know the part number? any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI, looks to be included with table widener.

The one I saw, in the video was definitely bigger.

Wow [member=75933]luvmytoolz[/member] That's wild. Do you know what the exchange rate is compared to the US dollar? It can't be a one for one thing. I'm sure it costs a lot to get stuff shipped there, so everything would be more, but it can't really be triple can it?

Thanks for finding it [member=58842]guybo[/member]

$1USD is around $1.50AUD, so this base in OZ should be $150, maybe $160 allowing for fluctuations.

As annoying as it is, we're pretty used to expecting to get reamed on prices, that's why Asian imports are so huge in OZ, literally anything from any other country costs a fortune in exchange rates and other fees, even before the horrendous shipping charges.

What's really annoying though is the vastly reduced availability of materials and resources compared to what you guys in the States and Canada have at hand, things like Rockler, Amana, and other companies products are non existent here, even timber is scarcer and way more expensive, things like the live edge slabs pics posted in a general supply store the other day in one of the other threads would only be available from a speciality supplier here at exorbitant rates.

So far as Festool goes, well I guess they know they can charge what they want! Luckily they have an apprentice program that gives 15% cash back! ;-)

Even $99 is a bit rich, for such a simple thing, but Hartville has them in stock.....and I was left unsupervised  [eek]

Seeing how expensive the table widener was I opted to get an MFK 700 instead  [big grin]
