I am not sure what I am doing wrong.  I have read all the rules and guidance I can find about Classifieds and I don't see that I need to do anything special.  Yet it still says "no new posts".

Can you please let me know what I need to do to post a used Festool item I have for sale?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi,

I don't see anything in your profile or permissions that should be preventing you from posting a new classified topic.

What page, at what point, etc are you getting the "no new posts" message?

Hi,

Have you tried going to the Classified board page and starting a new topic to list your item for sale?

Seth

The No New Posts symbol just means that there have not been any new posts from anyone on a board since you last checked on that home page. It does not mean that you can't post.

Unfortunately the system will not show me your draft.

However something else is going on and causing a problem. I will have to dig a little deeper.

Thanks so much, sorry to be a pain.  The "no new posts" makes sense, I was reading it differently, but your way makes more sense.

I recreated the posting 3 times yesterday, and was getting so frustrated that each time it seemed to publish into the ether.

The first time I thought "oh maybe it takes some time to publish" but after an hour nothing.

The second time I thought "maybe I didn't hit the button correctly, or I didn't select correct options"

The third time I combed the add for any text that might be kicking the post, which I didn't find.

After the 3rd time I figured something else must be wrong.

It looks like you are trying to post with a picture. See what happens if you make the new topic without an attachment. Frequently an image that is too large or sometimes a corrupted file will cause an issue. FOG system does not like big pics.

Ok, I was able to post without pics.  Now I just need to figure out how to get pics attached to the post so people can see.

Thanks for your help

If you resize / downsize the pics to a much smaller size they should go. Modern phones and cameras take pics that would literally produce a high res image the size of a billboard. So even with a big size reduction they will still be very good quality on a screen.

We gave tried to get this problem fixed / improved / updated with no success.
