Cleaning blades ??

I also use and recommend Simple Green.  A quick spray and a couple of minutes and the pitch just slides right off.  I use either a nylon or brass brisle brush to make sure the teeth sides and gullets are clean.  It's also easy on your skin, smells gentle, is relatively inexpensive, and is available here in grocery stores and home centers.  I'm not sure about your neck-of-the-woods, however.  [smile]

Last time I cleaned a blade, I used crud cutter

I use the Empire blade cleaner.  It works fast.  I don't have the patience to soak blades to get them clean.  Nasty stuff though.

Thanks, for the tip. They're actually located not far from where I live. Close enough to make a pick up at their place, If they let me. Seems like it's a web-shop only.
